Cast UK has been assigned by a leading, international manufacturer to recruit a Global Category Procurement Manager reporting into the Head of Global Supply Chain at their Manchester office. The role is demanding of a strong purchasing professional with a proven track record of managing large budgets and implementing Supply Chain strategies to provide best value to the business. A cross functional reporting line will see the successful candidate having a number of site buyers reporting into them, managing multi-site spend and agreeing a long term solution to enable the Purchasing team to flourish globally. The key factors in this role are:-

• Vendor qualification
• Managing of spend in excess of £40m
• Far East sourcing and cultures
• Corporate Social Responsibility
• Focus on commodities and trends

• Degree and/or CIPS qualified
• Proven leader in the development of the Procurement and Supply Chain functions

• Experience of Far East sourcing
• Dealing with commodities

£60,000 - £70,000 + Car + 20% Bonus + Benefits
