Operations Director – Staffordshire

£50,000 - £60,000 + Car + Executive Package

Role Profile

Our client, who is a market leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking to recruit an Operations Director for their site in Staffordshire.  In this role your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the Warehouse and Transport operations with a budget of circa 12 million pound.  You will be expected to participate in business projects to support the operational plan and assist with driving the business forward.  You will also have overall responsibility for Health & Safety performance on the site, facilities management and KPI performance in relation to daily volumes and operational throughput.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in applying for this role it is essential that you have the ability lead and develop a team and at the same time possess strong management and directional skills.  You must be confident at reporting to board level and confident enough to make changes and tough decisions for the benefit of the company.  Familiarity with all current legislation for MHRA registered warehouse including cold chain and controlled drugs would be advantageous although not essential.  A strong background of managing a logistics operation with a large number of SKU’s and any e-fulfilment experience would also be advantageous.  Previous experience of Lean Manufacturing or six sigma would also be beneficial.
