Role Profile

 

As a result of organisational restructuring, our client, a global manufacturer, are seeking to appoint Senior Sourcing Lead within their procurement team. The objective of this new opportunity is to lead the sourcing team within the category, and support the Purchasing Manager.

 

The role will be a combination of high level/high value procurement, in a spend area of around £400-450m, along with strong management/leaderships accountability.

  • Supporting the Senior Management team to drive and implement cultural and organisational improvements to ensure the annual plan is achieved
  • Align and consolidate the supplies, transport, and business units strategic direction
  • Implement continuous improvement in purchasing activities, processes and procedures to guarantee a cost effective and highly professional supplies service.

 

Skills & Experience

It is essential that the applicant will have extensive and demonstrable experience managing purchasing functions within a significant and comparable spend remit.

The successful candidate will have proven competencies within the following areas:

  • Implementing continuous, strategic and organisational improvements within a procurement division, whilst proactively addressing conflict management and creating a strong team culture.
  • Experience in managing diversity
  • Mentoring and developing others in suppliers’ practices and procedures
  • Project management
  • Tendering
  • Contractual and legal knowledge

Remuneration
£30,000 – 43,000 plus excellent package and benefits
