Modern logistics companies place great importance on innovation, flexibility and technology to service the needs of industry. This philosophy is exemplified by Task Force, part of Mission Logistics Group. They offer warehousing and distribution services for any business need, be it a single pallet or ongoing contract logistics. They also offer such services as seasonal arrangements to take on overflow stock for short periods, which means that companies’ own warehousing only has to be large enough for the rest of the year’s stock. With complete 24/7 inventory visibility provided by electronic monitoring and the supply and management of contract vehicles, the list of services goes on and on.

Several months ago recruitment consultancy Cast UK helped the Task Force to find a transport manager; because of the nimble nature of the business they needed flexible and bright applicants who could oversee the busy depot. So impressed was the logistics company with Cast UK’s service that they recently approached them again to fill a night shift manager position that had become available. Cast UK produced a shortlist from which Task Force eventually chose the successful candidate.

Cast UK were chosen because they deal solely with logistics, supply chain and procurement positions at managerial and executive level. To drive home this focus, any consultants they take on must be from one of these three backgrounds, and they specialise in their own area in their recruitment work.

Wayne Brophy, founder and managing director of Cast UK, has a background in logistics, supply chain and procurement, and it was through this experience that he identified a need for a focused recruitment consultancy. Commenting on the Task Force positions, he said: “It’s always nice when a client comes back to us after a successful placement, and we’re now the first stop for many companies when they are looking to recruit managers and directors in the roles we cover. Our focus, our expertise and our list of contacts speeds the whole process up; when companies need these professionals yesterday, they really appreciate the days, weeks or even months we save them in finding the right people. I look forward to dealing with Task Force next time they need someone.”
