Cast UK have continued their forward-looking stance with the arrival of two new recruits who are going through the company’s graduate training programme, with the hope of eventually becoming consultants. The graduates are employed as research consultants within the company as they undertake the wide-ranging training required.

Ricki Unger achieved her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Global Studies and English) at Arizona State University and proved herself to be a motivated and able candidate through her charity fundraising and political campaign volunteering in the States.

Graduating closer to home at Nottingham Trent University, Madeline Hughes is an equally enthusiastic addition to Cast UK’s ranks. She worked through university and gained valuable experience in the media and fashion industries before moving to Cast UK.

Cast UK is a recruitment consultancy that specialises in the logistics, supply chain and procurement sectors. Headquartered in Manchester but recruiting throughout the UK and Europe as well as globally, they have become an important player in the industries they serve, sponsoring multiple events and award ceremonies as well as helping large and small companies with their recruitment needs. All their current consultants have backgrounds in their respective industries, but their graduate training programme aims to help get new entrants to the professional recruitment field up to speed and focused on their specialist areas.

Wayne Brophy, Managing Director of Cast UK, is hugely encouraged by the graduates the company has taken on. “In Ricki and Madeline,” he says, “we have a couple of exceptional graduates whose track records already show a massive amount of skill, motivation and willingness to learn. They are as excited as I am about the prospect of their achieving consultant status, and they’re a positive example to all companies who are deciding whether it’s worth training graduates.”
