County Tyrone is located to the east of Lough Neagh, and is the only Northern Irish county to have borders with three others: Londonderry, Fermanagh and Armagh. It also borders Donegal and Monaghan in Eire. The county seat and most populous settlement is the relatively small town of Omagh (population 20,000), and the next largest towns are Strabane, Dungannon and Cookstown. Tyrone is Northern Ireland’s largest county be area.
Although Tyrone does not have a single dominant settlement, it does have several moderately sized towns. There is a good deal of agriculture in the county and some industry. However the picture for anyone seeking work is reasonably promising, as networks of populations always require a well organised supply chain to service their needs.
