Role Profile
Our client, who is a global FMCG business, is looking to appoint a Materials Scheduler to manage the supply of materials to meet the varying and volatile finished goods demand whilst maintaining material inventory and stock levels. This role will be very focus driven so hands on experience of MRP systems is key. It is a very high volume and fast paced business so it is key to stay reactive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that you are meeting the production plan which has been set in place for you by the Supply Planner.
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with suppliers ensuring they can meet the production forecast
  • Maintain continuity of supplies of raw materials to meet the changing demands of the production unit.
  • Overall control of the MRP system ensuring timely escalation of any stock identified as at risk.
  • Co-ordinate changes so as to control resulting stock wastage/losses due to changes in production plan or product repack/relaunch.
  • Ensuring materials are OTIF and competing tasks quickly to mirror the pace of the industry
  • Completing tasks and maintaining a stable production line
  • Managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships



Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an FMCG industry and working to tight 24 hour deadlines
  • Experienced excel user
  • MRP/ERP system master with abilities in data set-up and maintenance (preferably SAP).
  • Can work on own initiative and also as part of the team.
  • Is able to communicate at all levels within the business.
  • Rational, logical detailed and uses a risk assessment approach to decision making.
  • Enthusiastic who is wanting to work efficiently and effectively
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Working closely with suppliers and managing supplier relationships
