Purchasing Coordinator



Role Profile

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a world leading manufacturing business based in Manchester as a Purchasing Coordinator.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating pricing, lead times and contracts with suppliers
  • Raising purchase orders using SAP
  • Setting up and leading project teams as required
  • Liaising with global suppliers and updating vendor records
  • Managing purchasing spend for the entire plant
  • Coordinating with others in the Supply Chain for OTIF delivery

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong SAP skills
  • Min. 5 years procurement experience in a previous Buyer role
  • Proven negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Experience within a Manufacturing industry

The following may also prove to be an advantage:

  • Previous experience in purchasing raw materials and packaging
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge / understanding of Excel
  • CIPS qualification
