Our client, a leading clothing supplier, is looking to appoint a Category Manager to a newly created role specifically to look after the personalisation area of the business. Reporting into the Customer Services Manager, you will develop the businesses personalisation proposition ensuring the business has a market leading offer and service for their customers. The role will look at the end to end process, starting with reviewing the technology they adopt to process an order through to the manufacturing and delivery process. The aim of the role is to centralise this sales channel and although there will be no direct reports, the role will entail significant collaboration with multiple departments. This position will ideally suit a switched-on and entrepreneurial individual, keen to have ownership of an area of a business and develop the end to end process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an industry leading personalisation service for embroidery and print orders
  • Manage daily SLAs and resource planning for internal production and external suppliers
  • Source new technology, suppliers and products to expand the personalisation offer
  • Monitor the competition and constantly strive to be better than them
  • Work closely with suppliers, the internal production and sales teams
  • Be ready to take on management of direct reports as revenue and complexity grows
  • Report performance of costs and revenue versus budget
  • Clearly communicate performance versus SLAs
  • Review emerging technology to ensure the business are first to market with new value adding tech
  • Establish a robust and reliable production process with a mix of internal embroidery and external suppliers
  • Live and breathe service SLAs consistently over delivering against customer expectations and vs competitors
  • Work with the Category Managers to ensure the product range supports the personalisation strategy
  • Develop a personalisation P&L
