Interim Project Buyer

Role Profile

Cast UK are working with a growing business in the Stafford area who are looking to identify talented purchasing professionals to join their Purchasing team as an Interim Project Buyer.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all purchasing activity for engineering components
  • Negotiate contractual agreements and commercial terms, including tooling costs
  • Liaise with Production and Engineering to ensure parts are sourced in line with technical specifications
  • Raise POs and expedite deliveries with suppliers

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including confidence to negotiate and agree contractual terms
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Proven track record in delivering cost savings
  • Technical awareness and ideally the ability to read engineering drawings
