Role Profile
An established 3PL client of ours is looking for an experienced individual who has proven and tested experience in a multi-channel warehouse environment in the UK. This is an exciting & rewarding role which will be based at their distribution centre in Burton on Trent. The purpose of the role is to ensure a constant, smooth and efficient operation in both an ecommerce and store fulfilment environment whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels. Managing an operational team of Supervisors and Warehouse Operatives ensuring all KPI's are met and achieving company objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To ensure all orders are picked, packed and dispatched in a timely and accurate manner, in line with set operational KPI's
  • Plan and monitor manpower resource (daily/weekly). Identifying and shortfalls and react accordingly
  • Manage daily and weekly performance targets (Pick Rates & accuracy)
  • Ensure all operational staff provide outstanding customer service levels at all times
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant internal & external third parties, such as Warehouse Management, Suppliers and Couriers
  • Responsible for ensuring all Health & Safety is adhered to within the warehouse
  • Engage/Manage and develop staff. Encourage and motivate staff and recognise for excellent achievements
  • Report accurately KPI's as per agreed SLA's across multiple channels
  • Able to take on any adhoc project work when required
  • Development opportunities - Able to identify 'Quick wins' and longer term as part of continuous improvement/strategy methodologies.
  • Control Employee relations within the warehouse, ensuring that all personnel issues are dealt with swiftly and within Company and legislation.
  • Enforcing Stock & Inventory control - WMS and System requirements



Skills & Experience
It is essential that you have experience of both an ecommerce and store fulfilment distribution environment. You will have worked at a senior level managing managers and leading teams effectively.

  • Task orientated - able to prioritise effectively. Self-starter and results driven.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills - Customer Orientated
  • Responsible for all full time recruitment with assistance from HR.
  • Housekeeping
  • Health & Safety - Ensuring that this is practised each and every day. It is desirable that you have the IOSH qualification or similar.
  • IT Literate - Proven & demonstrative knowledge in MS Office (notably Excel).
  • Demonstrative analytical knowledge of using WMS systems to a competent and proficient standard.
