Role Profile
An established market leading retailer are looking for an experienced individual who has proven and tested experience warehousing & distribution. This is a new role within the business structure, created in order to accommodate the growth the business is currently enjoying. Reporting into the senior management team, the purpose of the role is ensure the day to day operations within a large DC, overseeing a team of Shift Managers, Team Leaders and operatives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched in a timely and accurate manner, in line with set operational KPI's
  • Resource planning. Identifying and shortfalls and react accordingly
  • Ensure all operational staff provide outstanding customer service levels at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring all Health & Safety is adhered to within the warehouse
  • Engage/Manage and develop staff. Encourage and motivate staff and recognise for excellent achievements
  • Identify development opportunities and areas to promote continuous improvements
  • Control Employee relations within the Warehouse, ensuring that all personnel issues are dealt with swiftly and within Company and legislation.
  • Enforcing Stock & Inventory control - WMS and System requirements

Skills & Experience
It is essential that you will have a background working within blue-chip organisations, and experience working within large distribution centres.

  • Self-starter and results driven.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible for all full time recruitment with assistance from HR.
  • Housekeeping
  • Health & Safety - IOSH qualification or similar desirable
  • IT Literate
  • Demonstrative analytical knowledge of using WMS systems to a competent and proficient standard.
