Cast UK are working on behalf of a market leading food distribution business to recruit an Operations Manager, to be based at their site in Birmingham. Reporting to the Site General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for all operational activity, including warehouse planning, stock integrity, and resource and people management in a heavily unionised environment. You will also be responsible for all financial controls, ensuring a cost effective operation against your operating budget, whilst maintaining challenging customer SLA's and company KPI's. This is a Multi-Temp Distribution Centre.
Skills & Experience
Ideal candidate with previous warehouse management experience in an FMCG environment, you will be confident in managing a large team in a busy, unionised Distribution Centre. You must be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to figures and reporting. Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislative requirements is a must, as are good PC and organisational skills. Experience of working with warehouse management systems will be advantageous. It is also essential that you have previous experience of working with, and create site operating budgets.
