North West
£50,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

Role Profile
Cast UK are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager based in the North West. This role will be responsible for the cost effective and efficient management of all on site DC operations in this state of the art facility. As the Assistant General Manager, you must be able to effectively manage all warehouse processes from goods in to dispatch across both retail and e-comm. work streams in this hi-tech, semi-automated DC, whilst developing relationships with all related customer contacts and internal stakeholders. This business is incredibly proud of its people therefore, you must be able to demonstrate your experience of driving performance through the engagement and motivation of your team, whilst developing/upskilling large teams within an FMCG environment. The key accountabilities fall into the following areas;

  • Leading People; driving performance through engagement, training, and ongoing development.
  • Operational Management; maximising the operation development potential by ensuring all industry trends and changes are monitored and incorporated into the Continuous Improvement Plan, in addition to day to day management of order fulfilment.
  • Customer Service; ensuring the highest standards of customer service are achieved in line with SLA's.
  • Quality & Performance Management.
  • Commercial, Financial, and P&L management.

Skills & Experience
You must have experience of working at a senior management level with significant knowledge of multi-channel operations. Ideally, you will have experience of working within an automated DC environment and be fully conversant with WMS packages. You must be a skilled people manager, with a proven background in training and development with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels, both internally and externally. To be considered for this role, you need to be analytical in your approach and with a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of Continuous Improvement (LEAN) techniques and have the ability to influence at all levels.
