Role Profile
WK Thomas are an industry leading supplier of specialised packaging & containers with over 50 years' experience in both the travel and food service sectors. Part of Bunzl PLC, who are a FTSE 100 business, WK Thomas packaging are experiencing continued growth across their operation by developing existing accounts and consistently attracting new customer.
Due to the continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a high caliber Business Development Manager for their Travel sector with a proven record of developing existing client relationships. You will be responsible for both transactional and strategic sales growth within your customer portfolio by offering a best in class account management service to your customers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead & implement short- & medium-term strategies
- Negotiate terms of trading, ensuring all agreements are correctly contracted.
- Maintain and develop a robust pipeline of growth opportunities in order to meet defined growth expectations.
- Manage relationships within your customer portfolio which will include buyers and key stake holders of all levels
- Ensure your customers are fully aware of trends and expectations within the market and help them to be the market leaders in their field
- Identify opportunities with key customer groups to grow market share
- Add significant value to customer offerings based on WK Thomas USP's
Skills & Experience
A proven Business Development Manager is sought who has considerable experience in managing high profile accounts, preferably within the travel sector. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in providing exemplary customer service levels to clients, retaining and growing existing customers and bringing on board new ones. Experience within the food packaging or food service market would also be on interest.
