Role Title
Buyer - Electronics & DIY
35-50k negotiable depending on skills & experience

Role Profile
Our client, a leading retail business, is looking to appoint an established Buyer or Senior Buyer to join their already successful and growing team based in Liverpool. Playing a key part in the business, you will be a pro-active individual who is able to demonstrate success with a strong trading background. You must be able to multi-task to work in this fast-paced environment and have experience buying electricals and/or DIY.

Managing products across the Electronics & DIY range, the role responsibilities are as follows:

  • Control supplier negotiations to maximize profit
  • Ordering a specific range of products
  • Maintaining stock levels
  • Ensure suppliers meet the business requirements in terms of sales and margin
  • Identifying new products and opportunities in the market
  • Competitor analysis
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure stock levels are achievable

Skills & Experience

  • Electronics and/or DIY category experience is essential
  • Trading skills in a retail environment
  • Common sense approach to buying
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Experience of working for a retail business
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Drive and motivation

  • Can cope with multiple tasks retaining a high level of accuracy
