Role Profile
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading manufacturer of automotive vehicles based in North Yorkshire as a buyer.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with UK suppliers
• Sourcing both direct and indirect materials
• Expediting deliveries to ensure OTIF
• Managing ongoing supplier performance
• Delivering savings and supply chain efficiencies through strategic procurement
• Maximising quality and minimising costs

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Min. 3 years' procurement experience in a previous Buyer role
• Proven negotiation skills and commercial acumen
• Technical engineering knowledge
• Maintaining strong supplier relationships with good communication skills

The following may also prove to be an advantage:

• Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably automotive
• Ability to teach/manage a small team but also being able to work within a team
• Engineering qualifications
• MCIPS or CIPS qualified
