Role Profile

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing team and a company which will grow and develop your skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and develop an array of categories
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Implement a supplier category development plan
  • Managing ongoing supplier performance and developing relationships
  • Delivering savings and supply chain efficiencies through effective negotiation and procurement
  • Monitor and review costings
  • Maximise quality and minimise costs

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in procurement and supply chain
  • Proven negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Previous experience within an engineering environment
  • Commercial acumen
  • Continuous improvement and change management skills

The following may also prove to be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of LEAN principles
  • Understanding of rolling stock and the aftermarket
  • MCIPS or part CIPS qualification
