Demand Planner

Role Profile
Our client, a Global Pharmaceutical company. They are looking for a driven, fast paced and quick-thinking Demand Planner to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales order, forecasting and working alongside suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile analysis to initiate recommended inventory levels for direct supply.
- Report on stock availability for direct supply, record any inventory shortages.
- Maintain daily awareness of inventory levels.
- Monitor and reconcile the distributor's ability to pick/ pack and ship within agreed timescales.
- Manage Inventory levels within retail outlets via the VMI process
- Work directly with key account manager in building and implementing inventory management plans.
- Working closely wit customers.
- Be able to understand manufacturing issues
- Ensure documents are compliant and in line with company policies.
- Monitor the POS. Ensure that retailers POS is being received from each retailer and updated per the agreed frequency (daily or weekly)
- Ensure new orders are transmitted to the distributor in line with the critical time plan.
- Through replenishment maintain acceptable levels of availability at the retailer, working with agreed forward weeks supply.
- Assist with the recommendation of replenishment strategies to the client.
- Work with the retailer and supplier to develop the most appropriate replenishment timings and cycle that maximizes supply chain efficiencies and ensures store level product availability.
- Assist with the management of the returns cycle working within the agreed/acceptable client tolerance.
- Compile and transmit suggested returns where appropriate, record the retailer compliance levels.
Skills & Experience
Degree educated
Experience of a supply and demand role is essential, ideally in an pharmaceutical
Experience in managing internal/external relationships - whether customers, suppliers or staff from other departments is essential.
Proven skills in data analysis is an essential requirement - able to understand, interpret financial, sales & other commercial information and provide recommendations in a timely manner.
Proven skills in problem solving - able to anticipate and highlight issues, and take decisive corrective action, working within established procedures.
Proven range of communication skills - able to communicate effectively with a range of audiences both orally and in writing and influence & drive decisions at all levels
