Role Profile

Our client, who is the market leader within their sector, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller for their operation in Hertfordshire. Reporting into the Managing Director you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of an effective and consistent service. Operating within the head office function, the finance department operates with a team of 4 including 3 accountant assistants.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a team capable of producing accurate, monthly accounts
  • Manage the reporting of financial information and accounts both internally and to plc head office.
  • Produce statutory accounts as applicable and supporting information pack for our trading division
  • Monitor and control debtor days and creditor days and help manage stock days
  • Review overdue debt and escalate issues with the relevant management teams Obtain relevant information to assist the production of forecasts
  • Managing department budget and preparation of reports
  • Manage the expense process to ensure returns are being reviewed correctly and VAT is being claimed as appropriate
  • Liaise with other departments within the business to ensure management information is being prepared as required in a timely

Skills and Experiences:

To be successful in your application it is essential that you have a strong finance management experience within a finance logistics, distribution or supply chain background. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst delivering precise data and report is essential. This role would suite a well-established Financial Controller, looking to take ownership of their own Finance department with a view to future progression.

Renumeration:

£60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
