Role Profile
Our client, an award-winning supplier based in Greater Manchester, is looking to appoint an Import Merchandiser to join their friendly and growing team. This long-standing business supplies a wide range of quality products into major retailers, as well as independents, across the UK as well as globally. Reporting into the Imports Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled from initial placement through to delivery. It is essential that you have experience in a similar role, strong stock management skills and the ability to confidently manage a high number of skus in this fast-paced environment. Our client has ambitious growth plans therefore it is important the individual appointed to this role is highly driven and demonstrates enthusiasm and a positive, happy to muck in attitude. Key Responsibilities Include

  • Raising all purchase orders internally / sending to factories
  • Inputting orders onto the Critical Path / managing the Critical Path with suppliers and customers
  • Dealing with order issues both internally and externally
  • Monitoring shipping and factory production, ensuring the customer production flow is accurate and updated and stock deliveries are achieved
  • Liaising with factories to ensure production is in line with the agreed plan
  • Developing strong working relationships with customers and suppliers



Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar, import merchandising role is essential
  • Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure in a fast-paced working environment, working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills in order to prioritise workload / business critical tasks
  • High attention to detail / organisation skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Positive attitude, happy to muck-in
  • Team player who can also work on own initiative
  • Confident with excellent communication skills
  • Driven, enthusiastic and hardworking

Due to the location of the business, this position will be most suitable to those who can drive / own a car or live near Oldham.
