Role Profile
Our client, who is a leading 3rd Party distribution business, is looking to recruit an Experienced Import Planner for their Forwarding department covering their European distribution. This is a Monday to Friday role, with occasional out of hours responsibilities.

Main duties include:

  • Maximizing empty trailer efficiences throughout europe.
  • Continuously staying in touch with existing customers to ensure that their road freight requirement is serviced.
  • Generating collection and delivery notes along with using the Mandata Transport System to record any movements.
  • Most movements for customers are FTL.
  • Source 3rd party hauliers at competitive rates as required and aim to bring on new clients and business.
  • Provide competitive quotations to new and existing clients that include direct customers, forwarders and 3PL businesses.



Skills and Experiences
To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you are a proven Road Freight Operator with the following skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of European haulage industry.
  • Great communication skills for dealing closely with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to react quickly to last minute requirements and remain calm under pressure with clients and hauliers.
  • Out of hours remote response to problem loads / movements.
  • Direct career experience of arranging full load movements in and around Europe.
