Milton Keynes
£43,000-£48,000 + £5000 flexible payment (Car/Salary/Healthcare)

Role Profile
Cast UK is working on behalf of a world leading logistics company partnered with a high profile high street retailer. They are looking for an experienced Inbound Operations Manager to lead all inbound and stock management activities in order to maximize the distribution centre's operational effectiveness.

As an Inbound Operations Manager, you will report into the DC's General Manager and be responsible for all the site's operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and ensure stock levels on site are adequate and reflective of the site's needs
  • Collaborating and communicating with outbound functions to prevent silo working and develop efficient relationships
  • Manage a range of worked hours forecasts to meet operational targets
  • Monitor KPIs across all departments and subsequently investigate any discrepancies or weaknesses within these departments
  • Managing and interacting with all the DC staff to ensure strong morale and workplace engagement
  • Lead operational meetings with a focus on analysing space and trends, then subsequently relaying targets to departmental managers in order to implement workplace solutions
  • Ensuring the continuous professional development of managers

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be highly competent, dynamic and decisive, with the ability to communicate effectively, whilst being able to demonstrate high levels of organisation and the capability to stick to demanding deadlines within a fast-paced warehouse environment; alongside the following skills and experience:

  • Degree level education is desirable, but not essential
  • Have strong knowledge of leadership and development at managerial level and be able to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Have experience managing and developing relationships with customers on a professional level
  • Have strong knowledge of problem solving, supporting change and being highly adaptable within the workplace
  • Minimum 5 years of operational experience within a logistics role, alongside successful team management
  • Experience working within multi-channel distribution environments
