Interim Procurement Manager

Role Profile

My client is a global manufacturing business with a site in the Manchester area.

They are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join their business on an interim basis to support the team during a 3 month period.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement appropriate sourcing strategies for key commodities (direct materials for production)
  • Build value adding supplier relationships, with particular focus on SRM with vendors based overseas
  • Deliver cost savings to the business
  • Develop strategies to ensure risk mitigation and continuity of supply
  • Effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholder relationships

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven track record in strategic procurement management
  • Significant experience in global sourcing
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Candidates must be immediately available and able to commit to a short-term, 3 month contract.
