Bunzl Retail Supplies are excited to be commissioning their new 231,000 square foot facility in Burton Latimer in June 2020 and Cast UK have been chosen as their exclusive partner for their recruitment requirements on site. Bunzl Retail are part of the FTSE100 listed Bunzl PLC. Also operating out of the Burton Latimer site and part of Bunzl Retail Supplies will be Woodway UK, Lightning Packaging Supplies, Keenpac and Classic Bag.

As part of the management team for the new site, we are recruiting an Inventory Supervisor who will manage the Inventory function of the business ensuring all associated inventory checks are carried out in line with business expectations and KPI's. This key role will also assist the operation in reducing the level and volume of stock adjustments and picking errors and it will work within customer SLA's (stock holding, PI levels, Adjustments)

The Inventory Supervisor will report into the Operations Manager and work a Monday to Friday day shift with line manager responsibility for 3 inventory operatives who will work fixed early, late and night shifts. There will be a need on occasions for the Inventory Supervisor to offer flexibility around their working hours to be able to effectively manage your team and lead PI counts.

Key Responsibilities

  • PI counts are completed in line with business requirements
  • Stock takes are managed and completed in line with business requirements
  • Ensures stock adjustments made to the system are valid and the relevant inventory checks have been completed correctly prior to an adjustment being made
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement in relation to reducing the volume and value of stock adjustments
  • Maintains clear audit trails for all inventory related activities
  • Ensures the teams follows procedures in line with SOP's
  • Has regular liaison with all shifts to ensure that work is being carried out in line with SOP's and all KPI's are being met

Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to evidence success in a previous Inventory Supervisor position
  • Able to demonstrate examples of continuous improvement within an inventory role
  • Experience of supervising a small inventory team in a fast paced warehouse operation
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Red Prairie
  • FLT licence desirable.
