As the exclusive recruitment partner for Lockhart Catering, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a Junior Business Analyst for their head office in Theale.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager but working closely with all areas of the business to provide systems support to ensure data integrity and analytical support to drive profitability.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
- Providing key support to the Commercial Finance Manager and other stakeholders.
- Assisting the Business Analyst (systems) with the creation, maintenance and development of reports.
- Supporting the financial and commercial assessment of tenders and account renewals and retentions, creating innovative solutions, reviewing and developing pricing structures and providing written responses covering all commercial elements of any prospective bid.
- Support the enhancement of internal data and reporting to improve integrity, efficiency and presentation of customer specific reports
- Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, identify trends and challenge the business on performance. Investigation of margins by exception (high, low, negative and margins not in line with contractual agreements) including margin improvement opportunities
- Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager as the internal point of contact on contractual review, contractual matters and related commercial issues, ensuring that Sales and Purchasing Managers are handling designated contract(s), and that any changes to contract(s) are reviewed, implemented, documented and recorded. Including supporting the sales team with new contract mobilisation.
- To ensure commercial aspects of customer contracts are accurately reported and the appropriate provisions are made including Customer Rebate management
- Assist with the planning, organisation and data entry for the annual Supplier repricing exercise ensuring all data is implemented in a timely manner
- Support sales with the planning, organisation, calculation and data entry for the bi-annual Customer repricing exercise ensuring all pricing is implemented in a timely manner
- Developing current systems to maximise use and creating best practice processes that work around the systems
- Ongoing maintenance of Customer and Supplier pricing files
- Minimise manual data entry and continuously look to streamline process' within the Teams' processes
- Monthly Customer KPI reporting inline with customer requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
- Strong commercial awareness - numerical and analytical skills
- Strong system knowledge
