Role Profile
Cast UK are working in partnership with Bunzl Catering Supplies, the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering, public sector, education, and healthcare. The business is witnessing continued growth across their operations by the successful attraction of new customers and the development of existing accounts.
Due to the continued growth of the business, Bunzl are looking to recruit a Public Sector Co-ordinator who has the customer at the forefront of their working day. The Public Sector Co-ordinator is a branch-based admin role providing support to the sales team and customer service to major account head offices within the sector.
The role requires a person who is structured, organised and specialist/administrative by nature and calls for someone who is systematic and has the ability to concentrate on things within their area of knowledge, experience and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Run regular reports for customers
- Liaise with stock controllers to manage changes to stock levels to ensure sufficient stock available and to avoid overstock
- Co-ordinate roll-outs
- Ensure pricing is stored correctly and manage pricing queries when required
- Support field based team with management of printed stock
- Support with tenders
- Grow knowledge of the public sector
- Review compliance within the customer portfolio and the use of GAP analysis.
- Liaise with internal key stakeholders to meet customer needs, ensuring smooth running of the account and a programme of continual improvement.
- Solution based approach to managing customer challenges, ensuring that they receive the best experience possible..
- Bring a sense of urgency to situations, demonstrate an active approach, be willing to get involved in order to increase the pace and achieve goals and objectives.
- Build relationships with core manufacturers and liaise with them on opportunities.
- Make appointments with customers to increase sales and work on joint projects. Keeping records of quotes and working with internal sales support to chase and convert opportunities into orders.
- Well prepared and organised sample presentations to help build sales.
Skills & Experience Required
- Effective numeracy, literacy, and word processing skills (GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent).
- Excellent Administration skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Commercially astute and able to build relationships with stakeholders
