Warehouse Shift Supervisor
North West
£20,000 - £24,000 + Excellent Benefits

Role Profile
One of the UK's leading retail businesses has appointed Cast UK to source dynamic, and experienced Warehouse Supervisor / Team Manager to be based at their state of the art DC in the North West. The purpose of the role is to ensure a constant, smooth and efficient operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and operational service levels. Managing a team of colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring that the pick and despatch of orders is managed effectively, distributing to retail stores.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan and monitor manpower resource (daily/weekly). Identifying and shortfalls and react accordingly.
  • Manage daily and weekly performance targets (Pick Rates & accuracy).
  • Ensure all operational staff provide outstanding customer service levels at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant internal & external stakeholders, such as Warehouse Management, Suppliers and Stores.

Skills & Experience
It is essential that you will be a professional calibre candidate who has worked to a similar level within a fast paced distribution environment. Experience of Retail distribution would be highly desirable. Additional requirements include;

  • Task orientated - able to prioritise effectively. Self-starter and results driven.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills - Customer Orientated
  • Responsible for all full time recruitment with assistance from HR.
  • Housekeeping
  • Health & Safety - knowledge of safe working systems.
  • IT Literate - Proven & demonstrative knowledge in MS Office (notably Excel).
  • Demonstrative analytical knowledge of using WMS systems to a competent and proficient standard. Experience of operating within a fully automated DC would be advantageous.
