Role Profile
Our client, a market leading and innovative supplier of consumer goods, is looking to appoint a Product Executive to join their growing head office team based in the North West. Joining a close-knit and down to earth team, you will play a key part to help manage, develop and grow the current portfolio of products and maintain and provide product-related information to internal and external customers as required. You will have a strong commercial acumen, work ethic and the ability to cope with the pressures that come with working in a fast-paced environment in order to hit the ground running. Having recently moved into brand new, state of the art offices, this is a great opportunity to make your mark in a newly created role and assist in driving this already hugely successful business further forward. This fantastic opportunity will suit a bright, ambitious and level-headed individual with some experience in buying or product development role, keen to progress their career within a rapidly growing business that can offer further development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Product Manager and Business Unit Director to help manage, develop and grow the current portfolio of products
  • Maintain and provide product-related information to internal and external customers as required.
  • Identify opportunities for new products and/or promotions. Quantify/justify the market potential for these and manage their subsequent development and introduction.
  • Support the delivery of product training/information to the sales and account management teams as required (ad-hoc and planned presentations).
  • Maintain integrity of product information on company systems and then manage the provision of product data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research customers/consumers to ensure that the products offered meet current and future needs. Underpin new product development activity with sound customer needs analysis.
  • To monitor and report on the performance of the portfolio against key business metrics; volume, value, GM etc, for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
  • Work across internal departments to communicate our NPI programme and maintain internal control documentation to support successful product launches and overall management of our product offer.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Currently working in a Buying or Product Development role
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and confident with excellent communication skills
  • Commercially minded problem solver with ability to think outside the box
  • Can cope with the pressures of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who can work on own initiative
  • Willingness to learn and take ownership
  • Must have a can-do attitude
  • Able to forge strong working relationships internally / externally
  • Previous product marketing experience is desirable
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing and/or Business Studies is desirable
