Purchasing Coordinator - Cosmetics
Central London

Role Profile
Are you passionate about skin care? Do you want to work for a leading cosmetics business based out of Central London who are growing exponentially? Then you should apply for our client, a well-established Cosmetics manufacture who produce everything from eye cream to body oil, with a vegan and gluten free product range. They are looking to employ an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to support the purchasing function and be the first port of call for suppliers within the packaging and raw materials categories with some work in the indirect also. Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase packaging components and raw materials in sufficient time and quantity to meet the production schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory status of materials on SAGE by booking deliveries, orders, and performing regular reconciliations where needed.
  • Maintain material master data
  • Minimize write off stock
  • Maintain sufficient stock and raise Purchase Orders
  • Arrange deliveries where needed from suppliers and manufacturers
  • Raise stock Purchase Orders in line with MRP recommendations, ensuring sufficient lead time for production.
  • Manage the write-off of redundant and out of date materials, ensuring that they are removed from stock physically and on SAGE and are written off by Finance.
  • Indirect Purchasing
  • Monitor status of purchase orders and keep subcontractors, distributors and Sales Operations team informed.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong work ethic, and driven personality.
  • Passion to deliver excellence in material supply and to meet/exceed the needs of a rapidly growing business.
  • Capable of taking charge of challenging situations and effectively influencing the outcome.
  • Completer/finisher, manages the purchasing process taking responsibility for on time delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with the gravitas required to effectively influence and manage suppliers.
  • Expertise in using MRP to drive the Purchasing Process.
  • Strong data manipulation, Excel and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
  • Comfortable managing complexity in a time pressured environment.
  • Experience in presenting internally and externally and adapting communication style.
  • A creative thinker and willing to challenge existing processes and propose solutions.
