Customer Quality Engineer

Role Profile

My client is an engineering business in the Stockport area, looking to hire a Customer Quality Engineer to support their Quality team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business with a range of high-profile customers.

To be the single point of contact for all customer complaints and warranties for MAN-ES UK and oversee the management of the complaints, warranty and internal Quality Incident Report process. Effectively manage the RCA, corrective, preventive action process and ensure a high level of pro-active, timely communication and support to internal and external customers. Lead / Complete 8D investigations as and when required

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact customer complaints and warranties
  • Lead and complete 8D investigations and root cause analysis
  • Identify and implement suitable corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure adherence to necessary quality standards for certifications and accreditations to be maintained

Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven track record in a quality role, ideally with experience of supporting the customer complaint and warranty process
  • Excellent working knowledge of quality tools such as 8D and Root Cause Analysis
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with proven communication and influencing skills
