Regional Operations Manager
Yorkshire / Midlands
£70,000 - £85,000 + Car + Excellent Benefits

Role Profile
Our client, who is a market leading FMCG business, is looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Regional Operations Manager. To be successful you will have in-depth knowledge of the logistics industry within a similar senior management role, with experience of delivering operational excellence across multiple sites. You must be able to demonstrate strong financial acumen, high energy levels, and excellent customer relationship skills. Above all else, the ideal candidate will have highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to motivate those around them to perform to the highest possible levels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Total responsibility for operational activity across a network of 4 sites.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer service to all sectors of the business.
  • Proactive interaction with the sales teams to drive the overall business plan.
  • Establishing a positive working culture, driving high levels of colleague engagement and retention.
  • Development of management potential - succession planning.
  • Accountable for setting and achieving budgetary and operational KPI's.
  • Driving the Health and Safety agenda.

Skills & Experience
With a recognised logistics management career to date; you will have proven success within the food service industry, working in a warehousing and distribution environment at senior management level. You will have a proven record of delivering consistently high operational performance within an FMCG, multi-site environment. You will be financially and commercially aware in order to translate business needs to achieve the measured results. You will need to have extensive experience of managing a large diverse work force in a time critical environment requiring demanding levels of productivity and accuracy in line with contract requirements.

Required skills:

  • Several years' experience within a similar senior / regional management role.
  • Ideally a CPC holder or with strong knowledge of transport legislation
  • Demonstrably high levels of financial and commercial acumen
  • Calmness under pressure
  • Natural leadership qualities, previously managing significantly large teams through times of change
  • Proven passion for customer relationship management.
