Role Profile
Based Letchworth, Cast UK's client is looking to strengthen its senior management team with the recruitment of an experienced Regional Operations Manager. This is a complex role that will require the successful candidate to possess strong man management and leadership skills for a significant team of colleagues. You will need to have proven project management skills along with a tenacious look to your work, whilst being an excellent communication who acts with great integrity.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensuring site adherence to company policy and applicable legislation with regard to all aspects of the operation including health and safety.
- Promoting a positive work culture.
- People management- overseeing a large team of colleagues, ensuring engagement and strong focus on development/ up skilling existing staff.
- Supporting and leading company projects and initiatives as required.
- Recruitment, retention and development of the operational team.
- Manage operations in line with budget and overall business expectations.
Skills & Experience
It is essential that you have a background working within blue-chip organisations, and experience working within a fast-paced, time critical environment.
- Task orientated - able to prioritise effectively. Self-starter and results driven.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a fast paced Logistics enviroment.
- Housekeeping
- Health & Safety - Ensuring that this is practiced each and every day. It is desirable that you have the IOSH qualification or similar.
- IT Literate - Proven & demonstrative knowledge in MS Office (notably Excel).
- Demonstrative analytical knowledge of using WMS systems to a competent and proficient standard
- Reporting in to the UK General Mananger
