Service Delivery and Logistics Director
£70,000 - £75,000 + Bonus & Pension

Role Profile
Our client, who is a global FMCG business, is looking to appoint a talented and commercially aware Service Delivery and Logistics Director who is accountable for managing all aspects of service delivery, promoting the continuous improvement of cost, service quality and customer satisfaction. The focus is on meeting SLAs and exceeding customers expectations, ensuring delivery against cost targets, achieving improvements in efficiency and effectiveness, transforming and growing the business and developing strong relationships and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing service delivery and customer satisfaction for accounts
  • Ensure there is a review structure for customer or internal partner satisfaction in place and is effectively used
  • Leads the operational performance and development of 3PLs and 3rd party food and beverage suppliers. This includes managing current contracts and developing new relationships and partnerships. Sets targets and ensures management of scorecards to ensure attainment of contractual, strategic and customer targets
  • Continuous and demonstrable improvement in cost effectiveness and value. Be able to evidence these savings across relevant customer base
  • Ensures and monitors that processes are in place to pro-actively ensure consistent product and service quality.
  • Ensures resources, capabilities and capacity to meet both existing and new business demand
  • Provides expert problem management support to high profile customer issues and ensures root-cause analysis is conducted and a corrective action plan is followed through with any learning applied for future benefit
  • Leads and contributes to Continuous Improvement activities and actively mentors project leaders
  • Motivates, develops and mentors the team
  • Champions team-working, knowledge sharing and promotes the interests of the company.
  • Provides support to new business opportunities. Takes an active role in bids and supports the transition and implementation of new business.

Skills & Experience

  • 7-10 years experience within Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to communicate cross functionally and motivate own team and inspire others
  • Ability to communicate succinctly to senior level management
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a proven KPI focus
  • Degree Educated
  • APICS - highly desirable
  • Project management skills - Prince2
  • Advanced excel skill set
