Role Profile
Our client, an established FMCG business based in Berkshire, are looking for an experienced end - end supply chain manager, ideally coming from an FMCG background. The successful candidate will be a senior figure within the UK operations and will be a strong voice in how the company operates and is shaped moving forwards.

This is a role for candidates whom prefer to take a hands on approach and are looking for a position in which they can further develop their career.

Key responsibilities

  • Helping to develop UK Supply Chain and Business strategies
  • Lead and develop 5 direct reports within end-end supply chain
  • Manage customer order to delivery
  • Liaising with 3rd Party Warehousing and Distribution to ensure OTIF deliveries
  • Improving such report / performance indicators
    • Stock Levels
    • Sales Forecast
    • Demand Volume
  • Planning for production volume
  • Improving stock management processes and policy
  • Integration of product lifecycle
  • Negotiating costs and agreements within certain key areas
  • Reducing cost of sales and operational costs
  • Developing relationships with suppliers, customers, 3rd party contracts and key stake holders


Skills and Experience

  • Background within Supply Chain, Demand Forecasting, Customer services within FMCG
  • Understanding of UK legislation and requirements within Food Retail
  • Strategic background
  • Proven supervisory / coaching skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experienced within ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong influencer
  • Proven Track record
  • Strong MS office skills
  • Passionate about people management and development
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate, influence and manage others
  • Ability to maintain an objective approach when faced with competing priorities
  • Proactive, 'can do' attitude
  • Ability to understand and maximise the benefits of supply chain systems
