Role Profile
Our client, a leading FMCG business are looking for a Supply Planner to join their Planning team based in Hertfordshire. Working as part of a successful and growing, multifunctional team that plan stock requirements and inventory levels and ensure the integrity of the stock order system. You will be a hardworking and analytical individual with the customer-facing skills required to build strong business relationships. Responsibilities

  • Manage the demand and supply planning for all products
  • Ensure the ordering system updated with accurate information
  • Ensure order proposals meet supply whilst consistently minimising costs
  • Manage KPI's on waste, stock transfers, order modifications, late stock additions, forecast accuracy and order proposal quality
  • Working with the Advanced Forecasting system (AFS) to investigate and answer queries within the agreed service level agreement (SLA)
  • Develop external business relationships
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, tools and processes
  • Ensure planning models, forecasts, ordering parameters and stock projections are sufficiently accurate
  • Ensure supply with maximum efficiency and minimum cost
  • Plan for known peak & special trading periods



Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years'+ experience within a supply chain/logistics function
  • An understanding of replenishment/forecasting processes
  • Strong Microsoft skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience in making own forecasting decisions
  • Organised and able to prioritise work to ensure customer needs are met
  • A sense of urgency
  • Strives for excellence by surpassing established standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • Takes initiative to practice and apply new skills
  • Proactively seeks feedback from internal and external contacts
