Supply Chain Planning Manager - Pharmaceutical / Healthcare

£45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

Role Profile

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for all planning activities to drive the Sales & Operations Plan through to production line scheduling and materials planning, ensuring achievable and realistic plans in line with customer requirements and budget expectations.

The role will drive introduction and sustainability of relevant planning processes and tools and ensure a positive data culture across the organisation through routine interactions with other functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • The role is a key member of the Supply Chain and Procurement Leadership Team, and is expected to play a full part in driving developments and improvements, as well as commitment to the development of the Function's staff.
  • The role holder must ensure the team is developed to be competent to deliver their activities
  • The role will potentially act as deputy for Director Supply Chain and Procurement.
  • The role holder is responsible for full business analysis of planning issues and opportunities, providing excellent information reporting to Site. The role holder will lead the development of all data and materials in support of the S&OP process, including engagement in S&OP sessions, the Demand Review process, the Site Supply Meeting process and the Executive S&OP meeting.
  • To lead the planning team through the S&OP requirements, ensuring plans are transferrable to master schedules and detailed production / materials requirements - all with responsibility for ensuring consistent and timely product supply to maximize customer satisfaction and market opportunities. Responsible for decision-making process concerning production plans and inventory.

Skills & Experience

  • Highly competent in ERP system for planning and control, and other planning tools.
  • Interpersonal, motivational and people management skills - an ability to influence across all levels in the organisation.
  • First class communication abilities; the role will provide information through presentations at every level of the company.
  • High competence in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • 5 Years + knowledge and experience of supply chain planning and management.
  • At least 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry
  • Previous experience managing a small team
