Supply Planner

Role Profile
Our client, a market leading FMCG business, is looking for a Supply Planner to join their team based in Leeds. You will be working as part of a successful and growing, multifunctional team that plan stock requirements and inventory levels and ensure it fits into the production schedule. You will be responsible for forecasting and planning all SKUs for the site. You will be a hardworking and analytical individual with the customer-facing skills required to build strong relationships.   • Manage the demand and supply planning for all products
  • Ensure the ordering system is operating with the most accurate information needed to generate consistent accurate order proposals
  • Ensure order proposals supply whilst consistently minimising costs
  • Ensure checks and controls on data integrity and performance are maintained and closely monitored.
  • Investigate and remedy, where needed, any deviations against KPI's on waste, stock transfers, order modifications, late stock additions, forecast accuracy and order proposal quality
  • Develop relationships and communication channels
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, tools, people and processes
  • Ensure planning models, forecasts, ordering parameters and stock projections are sufficiently accurate to assure supply with maximum efficiency and minimum cost
  • Plan for known peak & special trading periods

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within an FMCG environment
  • An understanding of replenishment/forecasting processes
  • Strong Microsoft skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience in making own forecasting decisions
  • Organised and able to prioritise work to ensure customer needs are met
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • Proactively seeks feedback from internal and external contacts
  • Strives to meet goals and deadlines
  • Approachable with excellent customer service skills
  • Understanding the financial implications of decisions made
