Cast UK is working with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Environment, Health & Safety Advisor to support its EHS function across a multi-site operation.
This is a hands-on, varied role for an EHS professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, carrying out audits, identifying risks and driving practical improvements across health, safety and environmental performance.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of EHS, you will provide professional EHS support across multiple operating sites, helping to ensure robust standards, procedures and best practice are consistently implemented.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Health, Safety & Environmental audits and agreeing and tracking corrective actions.
- Supporting the development and implementation of EHS strategies, policies and procedures.
- Reviewing and ensuring the effectiveness of risk assessments.
- Providing regular and ad hoc EHS reporting, including analysis of trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting serious incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Keeping up to date with current and forthcoming EHS legislation and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Supporting the maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS software systems.
- Helping to develop EHS training and eLearning initiatives.
- Supporting the onboarding of new acquisitions and integrating them into the EHS management system.
- Working collaboratively with operational, quality, sustainability and EHS stakeholders across the business.
About You
We are looking for an EHS professional with experience operating in a similar multi-site or operational environment.
You will ideally have:
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Level 3 Health & Safety qualification as a minimum.
- An environmental qualification at Level 3 or above would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and guidelines.
- Experience with risk assessments, audits and incident investigation.
- Good analytical skills, including experience working with data, KPIs and dashboards.
- Experience within transport, warehousing, logistics or another operational environment would be highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload independently.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to challenge where required.
- The flexibility to travel regularly across UK&I.
