Cast UK is hiring a Purchasing Manager to oversee and manage commercial agreements and supplier relationships for a well-established and growing Lancashire-based business. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you'll be responsible for both direct & indirect procurement and driving supply chain efficiencies. The role is Monday to Friday, with a hybrid working model of 2 days per week WFH.

Key Responsibilities

• Working closely with materials management, supply planning & operations
• Working closely with Group Procurement on contracts
• Optimise supplier relationships, driving cost and supply chain efficiencies
• Where appropriate, source new suppliers across both direct & indirect categories
• Ensure purchase orders & relevant documentation are raised & actioned in a timely manner
• Support property management with business rates, rental reviews, disposals and dilapidations
• Maintain supplier price files in the system
• Complete new supplier documentation and onboard new suppliers
• Conduct quarterly key supplier reviews
• Maintain relevant vendor master data in the system
• Support NPD & innovation

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong Purchasing background with proven record of supplier management
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills are essential
• Background working in FMCG Manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous
• Demonstrable experience delivering cost savings across suppliers whilst maintaining service and quality focus
• Experience sourcing and onboarding new international suppliers
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Previous experience using ERP (ideally SAP) would be desirable
