The Opportunity

Cast UK are working with a well-established Distributor to the Hospitality sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their operation in Chessington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in their career within a busy, fast-paced distribution environment.

Working on the AM shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, you will play a key role in ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently, safely and to a consistently high standard.

The Role

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation, supporting the Warehouse Manager and leading a team to ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and motivating the warehouse team on a daily basis
• Allocating workloads and ensuring resources are used effectively
• Overseeing goods in, picking, packing and despatch operations
• Ensuring orders are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and warehouse housekeeping
• Monitoring productivity, accuracy and operational performance
• Supporting stock control and inventory accuracy
• Investigating and resolving operational issues
• Training and developing warehouse colleagues
• Working closely with other departments to ensure excellent customer service
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role
• Experience working within a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Good understanding of warehouse processes including goods in, picking and despatch
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy#
• A good understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Experience within hospitality, foodservice, catering equipment or distribution would be advantageous but is not essential.
