The skills required
When applying for a job as a supply chain manager, candidates should have demonstrable commercial acumen and excellent analytical and numerical skills.
An ability to communicate clearly with clients, stakeholders, directors and staff is a must and you should be capable of working in a busy environment where tight deadlines must be upheld. Negotiation, delegation and change management skills are also a must.
Successful applicants will also need to be IT literate and able to use spreadsheet and database software, as well as other relevant technology.
Supply Chain Manager Jobs in East Lothian
East Lothian is a coastal county in the south east of Scotland, with Edinburgh to its west and Berwickshire (the Scottish Borders) to its south and Midlothian to its south west. To its north and east are the outlet of the Firth of Forth and the North Sea. The county town is Haddington, and thus the county was called Haddingtonshire until the early 20th century.
East Lothian has great connections to Edinburgh via the A1, A198 coast road and rail links. The county itself is relatively sparsely populated, with around 100,000 populating its 250 square miles (650 sq km) area. It serves mainly as a commuter and agricultural area. Towards its eastern edge, Supply Chain Manager work is probably more easily found in Edinburgh, but East Lothian does sometimes bring such jobs to our attention.
