Accounts Payable Supervisor

Location: Chickwick
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join a well-established Financial Services company in Chickwick. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department and ensuring that all payments are made in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring all payments are made in a timely and accurate manner.

* Manage the invoicing and payment process, including supplier set up and maintenance, purchase order matching, invoice processing, and payment disbursement.

* Reconcile vendor accounts, investigate and resolve discrepancies.

* Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

* Monitor and respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.

* Prepare reports, such as monthly accounts payable aging, vendor spend analysis and other ad-hoc reports.

* Maintain vendor files, including contracts, insurance certificates, and other associated documentation.

* Manage the accounts payable mailbox and ensure timely response to inquiries.

* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.

* Train and mentor staff on accounts payable processes and procedures.

* Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

* Support other departments with financial analysis and reporting.



Skills & Qualifications:


* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting.

* Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Detail-oriented and highly organized.
