Assistant Buyer
£28,000 - £30,000 plus benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Replenishing orders and forecasting sales.
- Identifying advantageous clearance deals.
- Prioritising developing relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Seasonal range development.
- Collaborate with marketing to promote fantastic value deals.
- Collaborate with merchandising and space planning.
- Monitoring new product opportunities and identifying market trends.
- Liaise with suppliers to maintain supply chain efficiency.
- Competitor value proposition and pricing monitoring.
- Duties include creating products in the system, as well as additional admin duties.
Skills and Experience:
- Must have FMCG buying experience.
- Great communication skills.
- Forecasting Sales.
- Capable of working with clearance suppliers and traders.
- Value/Discount sector experience is favourable.
- Capable of understanding and producing detailed reports.
- Must have knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word and Excel.
