Role Profile
Cast UK are exclusively recruiting for an Assistant Merchandiser role to join a leading retail business based in Liverpool. This is a newly created position due to business growth where you will be joining a close-knit and friendly team. Reporting into the department Senior Merchandiser you will assist by updating reports, L/C's etc. with the view to take on a number of your own subcategories. You will have a good understanding of what is / isn't selling and how to maximise profitability gained from a similar role, working as an Allocator or Merchandising Assistant in another retail head office. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join a thriving retailer that can offer further development opportunities.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
- Retail head office merchandising experience at Allocator / Merchandise Assistant / Assistant Merchandiser level is essential
- Motivated team player who can also work on own initiative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment is essential
- Can cope with multiple tasks retaining a high level of accuracy
- Planning and organisational skills - utilising time and prioritising to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Hardworking and flexible attitude to work
- Commercial awareness
- Good level of IT ability, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Good level of numerical / analytical ability
