Role Profile

Cast UK are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for the sales team of a fantastic Catering Equipment provider. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all sales across a large geographical region covering the South of England. It is a role that requires a proactive sales individual who will have experience of managing accounts and bringing in new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities whether that be with current clients or new clients.
  • Follow up issued quotations on a regular basis to establish market positioning.
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and share findings with management.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face.
  • Understand the needs of the businesses customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet customer needs.
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve business.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and exhibition events where appropriate.
  • Develop opportunities in target markets with support of marketing.
  • Nurturing and developing relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Provide specialist advice on the products including pre order training where necessary.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong Negotiation skills.
  • Presentation and communications skills in order to manage relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • The ability to manage your own diary and to prioritise your workload.
  • A self-motivated, self-starter that is happy to work autonomously.
  • IT skills: databases input, Microsoft Office
  • A good of understanding of foodservice design and equipment would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • A keen willingness to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments within the industry.
