Role Profile
Cast UK are working with a manufacturing business in the Staffordshire area who are looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to manage direct material spend.
Key responsibilities of this Buyer role will include:
- Tender management
- Supplier evaluation and selection
- Negotiation of price and contractual terms with supplier base
- Develop and implement appropriate sourcing strategies for category spend
- Deliver cost savings, improvements and minimise risk
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous procurement experience including strategic sourcing, tender management and contract negotiation
- Experience as a Buyer within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Proven track record in delivering cost savings and supply chain efficiencies
The following would also be advantageous:
- Experience within fast paced purchasing environment
- MCIPS or part CIPS qualification
