We are currently recruiting a fully qualified/experienced accountant who has operated at a senior level. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing fulfilment business with a clear progression opportunity to CFO.

The successful candidate will take the reigns of a small finance department and be integral in the implementation of the company's new accounting system. Our client is a smaller 3PL business looking to continue their growth and future proof to ensure sustained success.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage the finance department, ensuring the team have clear objectives and guidance to enable success
• Design, review and maintain policies and procedures
• Budgeting & forecasting
• Champion new accounting/finance system
• Active involvement in strategic planning for the business across areas including tax, risk and market analysis

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in all aspects of mainstream accounting functions. You will need to be a full qualified accountant, ideally with experience in a senior role working a for a logistics, manufacturing or supply chain business
• Proven managerial experience - you will inherit an existing team that will need leadership and guidance
• Experience with Sage systems is essential - any exposure to Sage Intaact would be very advantageous
• Understanding and experience of working in SME businesses would be desirable
