General Manager - Logistics - Bedfordshire
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
We are a leading recruitment agency currently looking for an experienced General Manager to join our client's team in the Logistics industry in Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will be a key part of the business and be responsible for leading the team and driving the business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team to ensure that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently
- Manage and develop all staff to ensure they are performing their duties to the highest standards
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
- Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
- Monitor and analyse performance of the team and make any changes necessary to improve efficiency
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure all orders are fulfilled on time
- Develop processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence
Technical Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent leadership skills
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations
- Experience in managing teams
- Comprehensive understanding of operational processes and procedures in a FMCG facility
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience working within an automated distribution environment would be advantageous.
- Proactive outlook regarding change and continuous improvement.
