Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take full ownership of site-level HR within a thriving manufacturing business in the Merseyside area?

We are seeking a confident, commercially minded HR Business Partner to lead and deliver a comprehensive, compliant and forward-thinking HR service which is aligned to both local site priorities and wider business strategy.

This is a senior, hands-on role with real influence, balancing strategic HR leadership with operational accountability.

What will the role involve?

• Assuming full accountability for site HR operations, governance, and compliance
• Acting as the main point of contact for all people related matters on site, providing HR advice to line managers and the senior leadership team
• Building constructive relationships within a unionised manufacturing environment
• Translating the wider business' HR strategy into effective, practical local implementation

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Payroll delivery, accuracy and compliance
• Pension schemes, policies, and governance
• HR policy development and local implementation
• Employee relations and disciplinary processes
• Absence management and occupational health provision
• Recruitment and workforce planning
• Headcount management
• Employee onboarding and future engagement

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Proven track record in a previous Business Partner or Senior HR Manager role
• Experience working within an operational environment, such as Manufacturing, Engineering or Logistics
• Confidence managing HR within a unionised environment
• Comfortable handling complex employee relations cases
• Experience in payroll and pension scheme governance
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to balance business needs with compliance
• Calm and credible demeanour with strong influencing skills
• Detail-focused with strong analytical and governance capability
